Western Language Materials Online Search
As of 2005/9/1
Features a database containing 66,309 titles from the Toyo Bunko's various collections of western language materials (excluding Russian), including the following:
- Titles catalogued since 1994
- Ttles catalogued prior to 1994 pertaining to China, Korea, the United States, Southeast Asia and Western and Northern Africa
- Materials collected by the Modern China Research Committee since 1954.
- The Enoki Collection, including many titles related to Central Asia
- The Tuji Collection of Indology
- The Iwami Collection of Islamic sources
- The Morrison II Collection of Southeast Asian materials centered around Borneo
- The Velarde Collection pertaining to Southeast Asia (mainly the Philippines) accumulated by a family of Spanish missionaries residing in Manila
- The Pamphlets from the original Morrison Collection related mainly to China
Notes
- It is not necessary to enter diacritical marks or special characters.
- Author, title and series can all be searched.
- The codes appearing in brackets [ ] at the end of each item in the database is the call number to be used when requesting titles in the reading room.
- Codes such as "*1" will appear in the case of non-alphabet fonts, like Japanese.
